Public App Links

An app’s author or an admin can create a public link to the app: anyone with the link can open the app’s latest version without signing in to Aster. See Sharing an App Publicly for what a link opens. Public links are allowed unless an admin turns them off.
Changing this setting requires the Organization Admin (org:admin) role. See Roles & Permissions.
In Control Hub → Settings → General, set Public app links to Off. While it’s off:
  • No one can create a public link, in the Share dialog or by asking an agent.
  • Links that already exist don’t open, including links on your own domain and apps embedded in other websites. People who open one see “This link is not active.”
  • The Share dialog tells people that an admin has turned sharing off.
Set it back to Allowed and the existing links open again. To end one app’s link for good, open the app, click Share, then Turn off link. This works whether the setting is on or off. To change it through the API, for example when provisioning organizations, send:
See Update organization settings.
